Mario Rosanda ROS Biography & Contact Born on 17th February 1966 in Pula, Croatia. Finished Graphic Design College in Pula. I was working for several years as an illustrator (SF-airbrush), painter and computer graphic designer-illustrator. My caricatures appeared in several Croatian papers, and front-covers in colour and black&white illustrations were published in several SF-Magazines, such as: SIRIUS, ALEF, STRIPBURGER. I also did some stuff for the German market. Recently I am working on SF-books front-cover illustrations for Croatian publishers and making artworks with love and passion in my modern multimedia atelier in old Istrian village of Vinkuran. My work has been represented through many art-exhibitions. Today I'm working in daily newspapper house “Glas Istre" like graphic editor in cheef, cartoonist and illustrator. I use traditional art technics and Airbrush -OLYMPOS HP 101-102, but also modern graphic software on PC - Macintosh computers. Member of Croatian Cartoonist Association since 2002 and Croatian Journalists Association since 2005. In free time I'm writing a SF stories, creating electroniq music and take a photos. I have several published short stories and for one of them even won special prize at Istrakon 2006 in Pazin, Istria AWARDS: 1st place - Milan 1997 INTERNATIONAL CONTEST FOR SF ILLUSTRATION PRODUCED WITH COMPUTER TECHNIC; 1999 and 2000 EUROPEAN NEWSPAPER DESIGN AWARD - honor for newspaper design - "special pages". 2nd place - 2001 Vodnjan “Ex-tempore”.
